Abstract
Immediate careful and thorough evaluation of injuries to the athletes knee as well as prompt, appropriate treatment are necessary to prevent severe disability in the future. Discussed in this article are the preparticipation physical examination, on-site examination, office evaluation, and criteria for return to participation, as well as specific injuries. Verf.-Referat
