Abstract
In this article the major anatomic and biomechanical characteristics of the anterior cruciate ligament of the human knee are discussed. This ligament with all its complexity is very important to normal knee function. Anatomic and biomechanical restoration of injured anterior cruciate ligaments is extremely difficult if not impossible due to its underlying complexity of structure and function. Verf.-Referat
