Abstract

Doping controls in the IAAF are carried out on the basis of Doping Control Regulations (August 1986 edition). All members of the IAAF are in possession of these regulations. Any person charged with the supervision of a doping control should first study these regulations carefully to exclude possible mistakes during the doping control. During the seminar, procedures to be taken at a doping control station and possible mistakes will be explained. These explanations shall focus on identification of athlete, offering drinks, completion of protocols, collection of urine samples, distribution of urine to control bottles, sealing of bottles, transportation of bottles to laboratory, storage of reserve samples (B samples), way of acting when athlete does not deliver sufficient urine, etc. Concrete adice will be given for establishment and equipment of a doping control station. A poster will demonstrate the overall procedure in a doping control station. Verf.-Referat
