Abstract
Injury to the spine in skiers can be either acute or chronic. Acute spinal injury constitutes 3 to 3.6 per cent of all injuries in alpine skiers; the incidence of acute spinal injury is lower in cross-country skiers. Both alpine and cross-country skiers have greater complaints of moderate low back pain than do nonskiers. Verf.-Referat
