Abstract

Thirty six female university students participated in a 8-week (3 times per week) combined running training program (3 weeks-continuous running at HR 140-150 beats/min, 3 weeks-running at HR 165-175 beats/min, and 2 weeksinterval running of 8-10 x 300 m with maximal speed). During the period of running training the V02 max/kg increased significantly (by 13.6), while the anaerobic threshold did not rise. Students with very low initial values of V02 max/kg, as compared to those with high initial values, exhibited a greater increase in aerobic working capacity. Our data suggest that running training in combined regimes leads to an increase in the HDL concentration in blood. Students with a high initial level of V02 max/kg endured the training loads easier than others. Verf.-Referat
