Abstract

The presented article deals with selected methodical aspects of statistical game analysis in volleyball. A lot of effort has been devoted to methods of recording data whereas procedures for processing observed data were not as well developed. The author analyses two drawbacks of present methods of recorded data processing: - neglecting the random character of players behaviour outcome, - different meaning of percentage values yielded from various bases. To solve the first problem, this paper proposes to attenuate enumerated values of observed parameters by total probability of their occurence in the game. For the second problem, the author selects the function of total number of attempts by which enumerated percentage is corrected. The example of both proposals is shown in the table of computed attenuated values for frequent probabilities of spiking and successful blocking and 1-15 attempts. By comparison of already published values with those computed by proposed procedures the paper illustrates the usefulness of suggested methods. Verf.-Referat
