Abstract
The serum and urinary androgen response to four minute maximal exercise on kayak ergometer was studied in eight highly trained junior paddlers. Serum testosterone, androstendione and urinary 17-ketosteroids rose in response to exercise. No change of free testosterone and testosterone glucuronide in urine was obtained. We conclude that exercise caused an increase of testosterone secretion in young kayak competitors. Verf.-Referat
