Abstract
In this paper is has been shown that for the problem of the minimum time downhill run (schuss) the application of Mieles method is also possible. This method gives sufficient and necessary conditions of optimality, including singular arcs, whereas classical Pontragins maximum principle gives necessary conditions of optimality only.
