Abstract
An analysis was made upon the pathologies which occurred to the ISEF students in Torino during the academic years 1982-1985. Out of a population at risk of 1200 students we veridied 632 pathologies for an incidence of 0,57, the incidence of serious pathologies was 0,09. The pathology due to acute trauma (51,9) was slightly higher than that due to overloading (40,5). Sprains, muscular and tendon pathology, rachialgia and shin splints were the most common pathologies. The knee appears to be the articulation most at risk. From the studies made upon pathologies found it would appear possible to reduce the percentage of injuries by dedicating more care to preventive measures and to a correct rehabilitation therapy following injury.
