Abstract
This study investigated the differential effects of two styles of teaching as reported by the work of Mosston (1981). Pre- and post-test measures were analysed in archery knowledge, self-concept and archery skill. The subjects (n=46), were randomly assigned to one of four groups to one of two treatments. Results indicated significant gains in pre- to post-test measures. However, there were no significant differences when the teaching styles were compared. These results indicate that an individualised style (reciprocal) is as effective as the traditional style of teaching archery (command). Therefore, based on the variability within groups, the use of variety of teaching styles is advisable. Verf.-Referat
