Abstract
The author studied biomechanics of skating and ice-skating. Particularly from biomechanics of spine its possible to get some useful informations that with a wide casuistry of skating traumatology explain the role of the spine in skating. The conclusions are that the balance costsbenefits is positive; because there is an acute traumatology of little importance on one hand, on the other there is a symmetric movement and a remarkable development of the paravertebral muscles.
