Abstract
Acute injuries sustained by members of the Italian national ski teams in 1960-65 and 1979-84 are compared. Reference is made to the equipment used in these two periods, training and skiing technique and the safety measures adopted on the courses marked out for races. Changes in the typical and atypical injury patterns associated with this sport are attributed to variations in these factors and to higher racing speeds. Verf.-Referat
