Abstract
Lateral ligament injuries of the ankle present a diagnostic and therapeutic management problem, especially regarding the seriousness of the injury. We report the results of operative treatment of a group of patients with high sporting frequency and serious ligament injuries. The results are compared with the preoperative history of trauma, inversion stress and drawer sign X-ray examination after regional anaesthesia. The examined group had a good result regarding normal function of the ankle joint and return to sporting facilities. Verf.-Referat
