Abstract des Autors

A special measurement system has been elaborated for the purpose of determination of the body control quality in the movement characteristic for sailors. A mathematical model of the lateral swings of a sail yacht, simulating the dynamic behaviour of the yacht during sailing (heels), is a basic tool enabling the studies. This model is run on the EAI 2000 analog computer. A sailor, by means of balasting on a motionless dummy of a yacht side and observing on the oscilloscope screen a mast position in relation to the water surface, fulfills the task of maintaining the simulated yacht in the heelless position. He is balancing the generated stochastic interference which simulates changes of the yacht heeling aerodynamic force. During the two-minute test an indicator of quality control for such an exercise is calculated. The primary test has been done for the group of Finn class sailors (6 subjects) and group of nontraining persons (6 subjects, too). The results achieved by sailors maintain the similar high level. A statistically higher scatter has been noted for the result achieved by nontraining persons, with an mean value of quality indicator apparently higher (i.e. worse execution of the test) than that of the sailors cadre.
