Abstract
The clinical picture and the mycotic flora composition of the 4th interdigital space of the feet were investigated in 40 footballers, 40 karateki and 40 swimmers both before and after using a synthetic amphoteric detergent. A high incidence of intertriginous lesions were revealed and these were more frequent and serious in footballers. Daily foot-bathing with the detergent under study markedly reduced the clinical manifestations and the mycotic flora without notably reducing the bacteria. Verf.-Referat
