Abstract
Anthropometric measurements were carried out on a group of 29 excellent windsurfers following Brians anthropometrographic method. In order to obtain an indicative profile of the psychological characteristics, Catells 16 PF was applied. The specific diagnosis was armonica, microsoma, longilinea. The diagnosis of a sub-group of 18 athletes of high international standard was: asmonica, mediosoma, longilinea. The results indicate that top-level windsurfers are characterized by: lower values of adaptability and vivacity, and a higher value of introversy as distinct from the subjects of a control group.
