Abstract
Ankle capsular-ligamentous lesions represent a very relevant topic in sport traumatology. Accurate diagnosis and correct therapeutic approach prevent invalidating consequences in young athletes. An objective evaluation of the torque produced by the various muscular groups involved in ankle movements, can be obtained by the use of the Cybex II isokinetic dynamometer. The results of the present study, carried out on fifteen patients affected by ankle capsular-ligamentous lesion, whether surgically treated or not, showed no deficit in muscular strenth of the interested muscle groups.
