Abstract
Twelve top judocas performed repeated bouts of anaerobic and aerobic bicycle exercise to exhaustion for approximately 7 min. To six of them, 40 g of glucose in 200 ml of water was orally administered 30-40 min before warming up. Immediately before warming up and at the 2nd and 30th min after exercise glucose, insulin, growth hormone, cortisol and thyroxin in venous blood, and lactate from capillary blood were determined. After exercise, concentration of glucose and insulin significantly increased in judocas who did not receive glucose, but decreased in the other. Verf.-Referat
