Abstract
After a description of the rules of handball and the roles of the players, the biological, biomechanical and physiological effects on players are described. The physical constitution in morphological and anthropometric terms of 197 players is then analysed. On the basis of a survey conducted on 254 players, specific handball traumatology is described as well as the most frequent injuries related to the players role in the game. Verf.-Referat
