Abstract
A clinical picture with hypoaesthesia of toes and crawling sensation after long ice-climbings has been observed by the authors in alpinists. The symptoms dissapear in a period of time from one to three months without sequels. The relation between this nosological entity and the special microanatomy of digital nerves is established underlining a mixed group of etiopathogenetical factors that include cold, compression and microtraumatisms.
