Abstract
At the Irish National Orienteering Championships in 1981 a survey of the injuries occurring over the two days of competition was carried out. Of 285 individual competitors there was a percentage injury rate of 5.26 . The article discusses the injuries and aspects of safety in orienteering. Verf.-Referat
