Abstract
The definition of the chronobiological profile of an athlete must be considered of great interest because it allows to foresee the time of maximum athletic performance in relation to the 24 hrs rest-activity cycle. Two groups of volunteers (athletes, soldiers)engaged in different physical activities, say different sports, have been considered. The best fitting cosinusoidal curve for the data measured has been calculated for any variable considered and the 24 hrs (circadian) rhythm has been demonstrated for almost all the variables in all the subjects. It has been verified, in these two groups, a considerable phase concordance of all parameters, that suggests a total maximum efficiency in late afternoon. Verf.-Referat
