Abstract
The authors examined the lactic acid metabolism and some hematological parameters on Italian national team marathon runners. On these bases the authors carried out an acidificant test to study the training degree of marathon runners. The relationship between the platelet count, RBC oxyphoretic power and the athletic results on some marathon runners confirm the availability platelet pointing to value the performance status of the long distance runners.
