Abstract des Autors
Bicycling can be a viable alternative to jogging for cardiovascular fitness. However, little research demonstrates the level of intensity and duration necessary to produce a cardiovascular training effect. This study gives the results of seven weeks of bicycle interval training on college women and men aged 20 to 24. There were four workouts per week of progressively increasing intensity and duration. The experimental group improved VO2 max by almost 6 ml/kg/min. There were no injuries during the training period. Verf.-Referat
