Abstract

It is presented a theoretical reassessment about the real value of the current osteosynthesis, regarding it from the functional and biomechanical demands, the actions upon them, from the view-point of the general principles of functional anatomy and biomechanics. The general conclusion is that the present osteosynthesis methods are not satisfactory, neither the view point of their achievement conception, nor from that of their practical modality of application. They represent simple artificial solutions imposed by the present stage of evolution of our knowledge, both concerning the regenerative process of the bone tissue and the technology of osteosynthesis materials. In these conditions, the functional recuperation of the patients with osteosynthesis must be carefully applied. Verf.-Referat
