Abstract
Follow-up of a series of 80 cases of recurrent anterior dislocation of the shoulder an average of six years after surgical management at two departments using different associations of the techniques of Putti-Platt, Bankart, Delitala, Du Toit and Roux, and Magnuson and Stack is reported. 96 of patients were satisfied with the result obtained, though a 5 degrees - 30 degrees restriction of external rotation persisted in 91.2 . Constitutional joint laxity was responsible for further recurrence in 2 cases (2.5 ), while one patient presented severe stiffness. Complete recovery of joint function was observed in 6 professional athletes (7.5 ). Verf.-Referat
