Abstract

The research is meant to be a help for the prophylaxis of all the ear and first respiratory tract diseases that can strike the skin-divers during the sporting activity. Compensation is one of the fundamental problems to make a good dive, for this reason it is very important that first respiratory tract is free and sound. Therefore it is convenient before starting any underwater activity to undergo a precise otological examination to avoid a moderate deaf to become into a serious deaf. Therefore the otological examination is very important both before and after (annual check-up) to diagnose the presence of possible desease or loss of hearing. The authors, in their research on 70 sportmen during five years, have noted a modest pathology of the first respiratory tract that has found quick recovery by normal therapy, besides they have noted insignificant reduction of hearing. All that attests the importanceof a frequent and accurate clinical check-up. Verf.-Referat
