Abstract

The authors describe Chinese traditional medicine as a coordination of points that have important analgesic properties and an antiinflammatory action. This methodology can be described as follows 1. muscle pressure 2. pressure and stretching 3. acupuncture; 4. acupuncture associated with electro-stimulation. According to Chinese traditional medicine, interrupting activity in a sport means altering the equilibrium of whole body in order to treat a specific part of it. Therefore, according to this methodology, the athlete treated with acupuncture supports increasingly heavy work loads until the restitutio ad integrum. Throughout the study several points of stimulation involved in treating pubalgia are compared with the anamnestic inspectorial examination and objective palpation so that we can identify the keypoints and investigate symptomatic points.
