Abstract

The authors have carried out a series of ECG-graphies records by means of radiotelemetry during a simulated motocross racing, to find which were the heart engagement in such sport and subsequently they have carried out, on the same subjects, similar cardiographies records during the work at cyclo-ergometer, for the purpose of check and comparsion. The results of the experiment donot show morphological alterations of the records, but only remarkable variations in the frequency area. The particular increase of tachycardia is due, in the authors opinion, either to the great psycho-emotive engagement which is present in this sport, or to the contractions, mainly isometric, which many muscular districts of those athletes are subjected to. The authors conclude by saying that, notwithstanding the work, mainly passive, that this sport imposes, the heart engagement results heavy and justifies the specific training and the careful clinic-anamnestic analysis when the ability is to be evaluated.
