Abstract
A brief account is given of an original percutaneous screw technique in the treatment of spiral leg fractures caused by skiing. The method has been experimented in over 2,000 cases at the Codivilla-Putti Institutes, Cortina DAmpezzo. A short description of the mechanism of action of the screw is followed by an explanation of the way it is applied, and the instruments employed. Some examples from the personal series are presented.
