Abstract

Final presumed stature is the first parameter examined so as to ascertain how growth corresponds to constitutional type. It is considered that: 1) preliminary study of stature was necessary for the choice of most suitable statistical method for the present study; 2) however, only examination of the other parameters (chest perimeter, abdominal perimeter, weight, complexion) can show whether there is an effective, genuine heterogeneity in the population and if this heterogeneity is enough to justify classifying the populationinto several constitutional types. Having done this it will be possible to ascertain, for each constitutional type, the modalities according to which growth takes place during the development age between 6 and 15-17. This will give more accurate judgments on growth in relation to individual constitutions. Verf.-Referat
