Abstract
Presented is an abstract from literature on various aspects of participation in sports by women. Anatomical, physicological, and psychological differences between both sexes, and their implications on performance, are given. Sex determination is critically reviewed; a number of sports is screened on their credits for women. Some former prejudices on sports and reproduction are rejected.
