Abstract
The histochemical changes undergone by the matrix of the Achilles tendon of the rabbit between the 16th and 28th days of foetal development were studied. The histochemical methods employed (P.A.S., Alcyan Blue, Blue A) showed a sharp increase in the glycoproteic content of the matrix with simultaneous fall in the mucopolysaccharidic level.
